Stake Holders FeedbackAs parents of Naren Aravind, we have the pleasure of sharing our experience with FAME India. Naren Aravind is a child with microcephaly. In the initial days we were concentrating on his medical treatment and also tried to put him in normal school. He was not setting and we were changing from one school to another. We came to know about FAME India when he was 4 years. At that time he had problems like sitting tolerance, communications etc. We had expectations on him to overcome these with out knowing how to help him. During our fist interaction with the school, we were explained by the counsellor about his metal abilities and also made us to feel that we need to give time for him to pick up. It took 6 months for Aravind to settle in the school on the Home management program. The patience and love shown by the teachers helped him to settle. They also created an interest in Aravind to learn by playing with him and coaching him with smile. Other programs like the regular parents meeting and awareness programs on how to handle special children had also helped us. Also the motivation given by the school staff to face the reality in a very positive way was a boost to us. As on today Aravind is able to perform many small activities and also comprehend well. He is able to communicate using alternate method. We would like to thank and attribute all these achievements
to FAME India staffs and organization. We thank them wholeheartedly for helping us in our life.

H. Prithviraj Babu joined Fame India in June 2009. When I came with him for the interview, I could see how happy the children were as they entered the premises wishing the teachers. Prithvi was quickly able to adjust himself to the new environment at fame India. He learnt the skills of making a bill for a list of items and is able to find the price and the total value of items. The survival words taught to him were of much use in his daily life. He has also started showing some
interest in current affairs. Eg: He was able to recognize the recent air crash at Mangalore and also the demise of matinee
idol Vishnuvardhan. Recently he has moved to work with the Swavalambana unit and enjoys his activities there. He likes the members of the staff and his collegues. His interaction with his friends and teachers about the happenings at home is indicative of his comfort level at FAME India. I expect he needs training in construction of sentences and conversation. As a long term goal it will be useful for him to get trained in skills that allow him to be gainfully employed and contribute as a member of our society. This will also help boost his confidence level. I hope that Swavalambana can get him closes to becoming self reliant.
